Influences:
REM, Echo + The Bunnymen, Rain Parade, Fairport Convention, 1960s San Francisco psychedelia. Many
bands had the same influences, but few took them out of the realm of imitation. Absolute Grey were one of those few. Rather than sounding derivative, this band sounds like a welcome dispatch from an earlier era. They were based in Rochester, NY from October 1983 to August 1987
